On July 1, 2024, I dreamt I was being given a tour of a temple complex. I looked over to the left and blurted out OMG Lord Narasimha! All I saw was a giant lion’s head, the body was behind some temples. It appeared to me that he was giving a talk to a group I could not see who were much smaller and possibly down a hill. On July 9, I was asked to take over as administrator of the PRIVATE Armstrong Steel Buildings Victims Facebook Group. On July 30, Armstrong Steel’s General Counsel Alexander Lincoln Wright sent me an email with a demand letter. I replied I had no way to make any payments, especially since the contract was null and void because the sales rep lied about what I was supposed to be getting. On August 8, 2024 Armstrong Steel sued me and forced me into arbitration.
Discussion groups about dreams about Lord Narasimha (Sanskrit: नरसिंह, lit. ‘man-lion’, IAST: Narasiṃha, or Sanskrit: नृसिंह, IAST: Nṛsiṃha) all state that it is very rare to dream about him. It’s very auspicious, but it depends on the dream as to what it all means. My friend Amandeep Singh is a TV star, model, musician, and a wizard! He is also an expert in dream interpretation. Amandeep gave me a practice to do. I sent for the lamp oils, ordered a puja lamp and wicks, and did a week or less worth of prayers when Armstrong Steel sued me and I misplaced the wicks.
I have felt guilty ever since, but with so much stress and friends needing a place to stay so I had to give up the room I was using for pujas, I had hoped I could get back to practicing.
Well, last month, I discovered Netflix was airing Mahavatar Narsimha!

There are clips on Netflix’s India’s YouTube Channel. Click on the photo to watch a trailer. The film is OUTSTANDING! To understand it, you do need to learn about what the Puranas call asuras. In the series Vignaharta Ganesh the asuras are portrayed by human actors with fierce makeup or in some cases by CGI. Asuras are translated as demons because they are usually evil. Not always but usually. Animated versions of what anthropologists and folklorists call “myths” are able to depict beings which no actor can ever achieve.
A few people who commented complained about having to read subtitles and wanted the film dubbed. I HATE dubbed films and avoid them. The actors who are the voices for this series have a range that I feel cannot be matched. Their voices perfectly match the characters. The facial expressions range from rage to pure incarnate love struck my heart in ways I cannot describe. Click and watch and see if you agree.

I took the scenes and inserted explanations for those who have never had an interest in the Hindu pantheon. The film starts off with Vishnu’s avatar Varāha (Sanskrit: वराह, , “boar“) emerging from one of Lord Brahma’s nostrils as a sneeze. The cosmic ocean is illustrated perfectly and you will see how Lord Varāha has to dig down into the rock to rescue Prithvi also called Bhumi, the goddess who IS the planet earth. If you find this all very confusing, delve into comparative religion. The belief that everything is sentient no matter how small nor how large is almost universal.
The longer version is on Rumble.

With the death of Charlie Kirk, we are seeing people behaving like demons screaming hysterically on TikTok hurling insults and death threats. Free speech is being attacked in Great Britain and Europe and it’s non-existent in mainland China. People are behaving in ways that shock even the most cynical and/or apathetic.
In the ancient myths there is a battle between Good and Evil. We see battlefields populated with angels and demons in western art. Sun Wukong had to be subdued by Buddha and the Bodhissatva Quan Yin (spelled Kwan Yin, Guān yīn, Guān yǐn, Guān yìn, Guàn yīn, Guanyin, Kuan Yin, Kuǎn yǐn) depending on which language you’re translating. But once converted to Buddhism, Sun Wukong battled demons/monsters who could shape shift into humans having once been spiders, bulls, tigers, a snow leopard, serpents, a yellow-throated marten, a skeleton/zombie, nine-tailed foxes, a lion, sea dragons, a GOLDFISH!, a turtle, scorpions, a macaque, a vulture, a rat, a rabbit, and creatures that we can’t quite describe.

Not all battles between beings we think of as good and beings we think of as evil are that cut and dry, but it seems from all folklore, there is a definite battle for the human mind and psyche.
What’s more telling is that the ones we label as demons are always demanding. Most do not obtain absolute TEMPORAL power like Hiranyakashipu did but all seems to demand that we “worship” them or agree with them or comply with them. Hiranyakashipu wanted to eradicate all of Vishnu’s devotees and demand total worship of himself as all powerful. When his own son would not comply, he ordered the five year old to be executed. After several attempts at trying to kill Prahlad, he finally vowed to behead his own son taunting Vishnu to try and stop him. The ending is very, very, graphically gory.
BUT there is a scene near the end of the film that, I hope, will trigger a primal memory in the viewer. The absolute selfless love and devotion between a human devotee and his/her creator.
I have uploaded the film with commentary to Rumble and short clips to YouTube. YouTube SHOULD stop blocking uploads used as part of film reviews. Alas, their algorithm and the fact that you cannot contact a human makes it very difficult to share derivative works.
I HIGHLY recommend this film. I trust that devote Christians will find the scene between Prahlad and Lord Vishnu inspirational. It’s the closest depiction of Theosis I have found. If you do not know what Theosis is, I will blog about the Eastern Orthodox and what the Roman Catholic hagiographies call “divine union”. What Prahlad experienced, however, was permanent and not a fleeting vision.

I thought I had more or less finished this post back on September 27 and was just polishing up the videos when I discovered more information than I could process. It’s the Dark Moon – the day before the New Moon in Libra (October 21, 2025). I need to post this as it is important during Libra season to be cognizant of your relationships with members of your household, family, etc. but also your relationship with the divine. And with what I have learned about Lord Narasimha, I really need to spend time with him each day!
The giant head that appeared to be teaching someone or a group from my dream could be this version! I saw Lord Narasimha’s full profile with him facing the left similar to this but his head was huge and up nar the top of the temple in my dream. And Lord Narasimha was as real as our waking state experiences “reaI”. I was not seeing a painting or sculpture I saw real fur and teeth and a mane and he was speaking.
I had no idea there are names for each form! I also did not know how revered HE is in Nepal!
